Maiden of the Lake

And finally- Malawi! My OC!
So I have been wanting to go to Africa and some people came to my Global Studies class from Malawi. :3 I got thoroughly interested in the country- and then I found out about Hetalia. xD

Name of country: Malawi

Human name of country: Nhkata Chichewa

Origin: Known as the maiden of the lake, her history is made up of many stopping by her lands to take a rest as a safe haven, England being one of them. She was first seen with her siblings, Zambia and Mozambique, which later would become the Maravi empire; acknowledged by Portugal. However, as people began to disappear because the trading, the empire collapsed, though Malawi has been secretly looking forward to her return. When England arrived, just as the rest, he never wanted to leave and established Nyasaland as his colony. She didn't gain Independence until recently.

Appearance: She appears to be a young school girl, but she's been around as a young child (said to be a sprite of the lake), since before even the Maravi empire. She can usually be seen in a uniform, but when she's off getting aid from other countries, she usualy wear a blue sari and a head wrap.

Other: Her bosses tend to treat her more like a daughter then a country. She also has a history of taking many people in, since shes seen the Maravi empire disappear once many of the people started disappearing around her country. She loves windmills and studying but is wary of most businessmen thinking they are swindlers.

The more I think about it and research it though- Did England try to make his own Middle Earth in Nyasaland? -.o... Eh, I wouldn't put it past him...
